  • Santa Rosa Community Health Center: If you are one of our 50,000 patients or you are currently without a primary care provider and you need non-emergency health care, you are welcome to call or drop in at our health centers for medical, dental, and mental health care as follows:

    • Vista Campus: Vista is currently closed due to fire damage. Vista campus patients can call 707.303.3600 or drop in at any of our open campuses. Many Santa Rosa medical centers and doctor’s offices are now up and running. If you usually receive medical care through another medical office, we ask that you return to their care so that we can serve those who don’t have other options. We provide outstanding, culturally responsive medical, dental, and mental health care, whether or not you can afford to pay. We do not ask about or track immigration status. We do this because each person is unique and deserves to be seen and valued for who they are and the life circumstances that bring them to us. None of us should ever receive anything less than the best care possible.

REPLACING LEGAL DOCUMENTS

MAIL FORWARDING

  • For those residents who are effected by mandatory evacuations and unable to retrieve their mail, a couple of options are available through USPS’s website.  The first is a Temporary Mail Hold that will enable you to hold your mail from delivery for a specific amount of time and at the end of the time specified, mail will be delivered directly to your residence or you have the option to pick it up directly from a USPS branch.   • The second choice available would be a Change of Address which will redirect your mail to a different address on a temporary or permanent basis.  Click here for change of Address service request that you can complete online.

UTILITIES: SANTA ROSA WATER AND XFINITY/COMCAST: 

  • The Sonoma County Medical Association has arranged with local utilities providers to allow them to cancel utilities services. Please contact SCMA at (707) 525-4375 and give them your home address and name on the account so they can cancel your utilities services for you.

  • Petaluma People Services – Emergency Home Shares Program: 
  • Elk Community Center (Elk on the coast): 
    • Open to evacuees and equipped with 30 cots, food and other services. Pets welcome! Contact 707-877-1105.
  • Family Homes/Home Shares Available:
    • 20-30 families in the Sonoma area have either full homes or rooms available for fire victims. See google doc.
  • Sequoia Equities Apartments
    • Apartments available to fire victims in need in Petaluma, Vacaville, Benicia and Martinez. All fees waived. Credit will not play a factor in a person’s ability to reside. No maximum occupancy guidelines. Pets: No breed restrictions, no number of pet restrictions. Call (925) 239-9453.
  • Chanslor Ranch – Bodega Bay:
    •  Offering free beds and campsite for up to 200 people. Kid and pet friendly. (707) 875-2721
  • Lawson’s Landing:
    • Free nights stay. You will need your own RV or camping equipment. Questions call (707) 878-2443.
  • Ashley Furniture in RP:
    • has opened up their east side parking lot for vehicle and RV overnight parking for evacuees. You can go inside to charge cellular devices and contact loved ones.
  • Sonoma Raceway:
    • serving as an evacuation center for self-contained RV’s and campers. Basic RV services.There will be security on site. Enter campground at Gate 6, on Hwy 121, ¼ mile north of Hwy 37. More info call 800-870-7223 or email sonomaraceway@sonomaraceway.com.

  • Eyeglasses Assistance – For VSP Insurance members: VSP’s disaster recovery plan is in effect for our county, which means if you lost your glasses you can get a new pair immediately and not wait for the next annual availability.​ If you’ve lost or broken your glasses or need eye care, call 800-877-7195. For people who do not have VSP insurance: call 800-733-2767 or contact a local Red Cross chapter to request a VSP Global Eyes of Hope gift certificate.   • Marin Community Clinic: Free support for those affected by North Bay fires – come for community connection, emotional support, and resources to help you recover and heal.Thursdays, October 26 –  November 30, 3p-4p in Novato
  • You can call 2-1-1 (or 800-325-9604) any time for the latest fire information or visit the Sonoma website or the Napa website.
  • Senator Harris personally confirmed with Acting DHS Secretary Elaine Duke that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will not be conducting immigration enforcement in impacted areas. To read ICE’s statement, click here.

NOTE:  Sonoma County DHS is working with the California Department of Social Services on a mass replacement benefits waiver for people with benefits who lost food during the disaster, and also on disaster CalFresh. However, until then the usual CalFresh application rules apply for new applicants. There is no emergency or disaster Medi-Cal program at this time.
