MAVEN Project: Family Practice, Primary Care in Developing Countries

May 23, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Family Practice: Primary Care in Developing Countries

The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Speaker: Dr. Stephen Kelly

Specialty: Family Practice

Presentation Title: Primary Care in Developing Countries

Bio: Dr. Kelly has been in private medical practice for the past 40 years in a small office in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He is currently retired but still participates in many short-term medical mission trips. Dr. Kelly has been fortunate to share his clinical expertise with medical providers throughout the world and is always amazed how much he learns from them in return. He notes, “The intersection of culture and environment plays a very important role in the types of medical problems encountered in developing countries.”
