May 22, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Cardiology, Atrial Fibrillation, the Most Common Arrhythmia Seen in Clinical Practice

The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Speaker: Dr. Charles Schulman

Specialty: Cardiology

Presentation Title: Atrial Fibrillation, the Most Common Arrhythmia Seen in Clinical Practice

Bio: Dr. Schulman was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 1988 until 2016. He is currently a Corresponding Member of the Faculty of Harvard Medical School and a Senior Physician at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. In addition, he has been practicing non-invasive cardiology since 1970. Dr. Schulman’s scientific articles and abstracts have appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, the American Journal of Cardiology, and the British Heart Journal. His research interests include the treatment of hypertension, congestive heart failure, and hyperlipidemia.
