May 15, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Cardiology: Evaluation of Patients with Chest Discomfort

The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Presentation Title: Evaluation of Patients with Chest Discomfort

Bio: Michael R. Nagel M.D. established his private practice in Cardiology in San Jose, CA in 1971, and built up an 8-person cardiology group with several subspecialties represented. He served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine from 1972 to 1983 at Stanford University Medical School. From 1973 to 1995, Dr. Nagel served as Medical Director of Cardiology at Good Samaritan Hospital of the Santa Clara Valley, where he helped develop state-of-the-art cardiac intensive care units, the cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery programs. Since 2007, he has returned to an office-based, solo-practice of Clinical Cardiology, with an emphasis on Preventive Cardiology. He closed the office to patient care on 6/30/2017, after 46 years on Samaritan Drive, in San Jose, CA. He currently works online for preventive cardiology consultations, chart reviews, and interpretations of nuclear myocardial perfusion stress studies and echocardiograms.
