The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Speaker: Dr. Fred Kleinsinger

Presentation Title: Understanding and Improving Medication Nonadherence

Bio: Dr. Kleinsinger is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Family and Community Medicine, at the UCSF School of Medicine. He retired in 2008 after practicing for 38 years. Although he initially practiced at community medicine clinics, and in private practice for five years, for the last 13 years of his practice he was a physician in the Medicine department at the Kaiser Oakland Medical Center in Oakland, California, where he was an Assistant Chief of Medicine. At Kaiser Oakland, he developed and administered the Mentoring Program for new medicine department physicians. He also was involved in introducing the Electronic Health Records to the Medicine Department physicians. Since retirement, he has been active teaching first through third year medical students at UCSF. He also has developed and led CME workshops on a variety of topics at regional hospitals throughout the state of California. He has published three articles on the topic of Medication Nonadherence, which is a special interest of his.
