November 14, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Urology: Prostate Cancer Screening:
The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.
Speaker: Dr. Stephen Lieberman
Specialty: Urology
Presentation Title: Prostate Cancer Screening
Bio: Dr. Lieberman was a urologist at Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon for over 30 years until his retirement. He was chief of the department for 27 of those years and had a teaching appointment as Clinical Professor of Urology at Oregon Health Science University. He had special interests in urologic oncology, calculi and endourology, and pediatric urology. Since retiring, he has written a shared decision-making book for patients with newly diagnosed prostate cancer and he created a DVD that accompanies the book (see kpactionplans.org).
