The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Specialty: Pediatric Psychiatry
Presentation Title: Role of the ACE (Adverse Childhood Events) Survey in Primary Care
Bio: Dr. Schmitt has resided and practiced psychiatry for children and teens in San Diego since 1969. He prefers family and outpatient psychiatry. He taught and supervised in the UCSD Division of Child Psychiatry for 33 years. Since closing his private practice office in 2005, he has enjoyed volunteering for The MAVEN Project and other organizations.
