October 25, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Rheumatology: Interpreting a Positive ANA:
The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.

Presentation Title: Interpreting a Positive ANA
Bio: Maria Greenwald, MD, graduated summa cum laude from Bryn Mawr College with a major in chemistry, and she graduated from Yale Medical School with honors (AOA). She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Yale, and was selected national senior scholar for her fellowship in rheumatology at UCLA. She has published over 100 articles, in osteoporosis and rheumatology, and she is director of a clinical research group, Desert Medical Advances. Former positions include member of the National Osteoporosis Scientific Advisory Committee, founding member of the steering committee to establish the International Society of Clinical Densitometry, President of OsNet (a non-profit organization of 22 clinical research centers), Master Faculty of Osteoporosis for the American Medical Association and the American Medical Women’s Association, and a members of the advisory panel for osteoporosis for the FDA. She has served as a board member and as Chairman of Southwest IRB (an ethical review board). She is currently on the Board of the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences.
