June 8, 2018: MAVEN Project Educational Session, Internal Medicine: Adult Immunizations
The MAVEN Project is very excited to announce our upcoming Educational Sessions! As always, these sessions are presented via Zoom videoconferencing, and consist of 20-30 minutes of a presentation and 15 – 20 minutes of Q&A. Our volunteers are eager to discuss your patients, so please don’t hesitate to come with questions or cases you’d like to discuss.
Speaker: Dr. Stephen Johnson
Specialty: Internal Medicine
Presentation Title: Adult Immunizations
Bio: Dr. Johnson was in the private practice of Internal Medicine from 1980 through 2015, for the most part in traditional hospital and office practice. In about 2010 he transitioned to outpatient practice only. Since his retiredment from practice in 2015, he has been volunteering at a local free clinic with a variety of adult health issues. He is also a volunteer “champion” for an ACP program designed to improve adult immunization rates. Finally, he is now a part time Assistant Professor teaching medical students a The University of Arkansas for Medician Sciences Northwest Campus in Fayetteville, AR.
